Morgan U.

Morgan Uber is a senior and this is her first year working on The Bear Facts as the Sports Editor. She spends her time volunteering at Scottish Rite and enjoying the company of her friends and family. Morgan plays Lacrosse for Ursuline and has been on the team since her Freshman year. She also is a lector and Eucharistic minister for Ursuline mass. Morgan is very excited to be a part of the staff!

Pia F.

Pia Fontes is a Junior and Feature Editor of the UA Bear Facts. She is an active member of the UA swim team for the past 3 years and this is her 2nd year as Secretary of the 2012 student council .  She participates avidly in the Social Justice Club and has piano lessons every Monday. In her free time, she loves walking her dog and online shopping.

Helen O.

Helen O’Connor is a senior in the class of 2011. This is her first year on the Bear Facts staff and is the Entertainment page editor. In addition to working on the newspaper, Helen enjoys hanging out with friends and reading.

Annie G.

This year is Annie G.’s first year on the Bear Facts Staff. She’s is on the Editorial Board and Photography Editor. In her free time, she enjoys listening to music, traveling, and hanging out with friends.

Emily W.

Emily is a member of the editorial board and this is her first year on newspaper. She is very excited about being on staff this year and especially looks forward to Newspaper breakfasts provided by fellow staff member, Annie G. In her free time, Emily enjoys playing tennis, being lazy, and writing college essays.

Grace P.

This is Grace’s first year on newspaper where she works as a news editor. She is a junior and a Jesuit Varsity cheerleader this year. Grace is learning to play guitar and piano and spends her spare time reading, practicing gymnastics, and spending time with friends.

Emilee T.

Emilee T. is a junior and this is her first year on newspaper. Besides writing articles for the newspaper and editing the feature page, she is a member of the Literary Magazine club and various others. Her favorite colors are red and navy blue and she loves spending time with her family, friends, and cat, Sapphire. Her not-so secret loves are NASCAR and reading lots and lots of books.

Christine J.

Christine Jacoub is a 2011 senior and has just been admitted into Newspaper Journalism. This is her first year on the staff and has become the Business and Exchange Editor. Christine has just joined the Ursuline Academy Choir club and is excited to begin a new chapter in her life. Christine works at the clothing store Merge on Preston and Royal and enjoys walking, hanging out with friends, and watching TV. She can not wait to end the year on a great note!

Julie J.

Julie Jarvie is an Ursuline senior  and one of the managing editors of Bear Facts this year. She is a Capricorn who enjoys spending time with her dog and reading mystery novels. She currently has two jobs, one at the Toy Maven toy store and at  Nordstrom’s department store. She looks forward to working with her staff on the paper this year.

Maggie K.

Maggie is a first-time member of the newspaper staff and is the Creative Editor. As a senior, she spends her extra time as President of a Venture Crew and as a Senior Girl Scout. This year she plans to join the Adventure Club and the Biomedical Club. She looks forward to a busy but fulfilling year as a part of the newspaper staff.
