Number One Cafe
This café in the middle of a posh boutique serves Vim + Vigor bottled juices. With a mission in mind for making people feel “amazing” by cultivating healthy habits, Vim + Vigor is dedicated to making the health benefits of juice accessible to everyone. Whether it is through juice kits or specialty juice cleanses, the company advocates people leading healthy lifestyles.
In comparison to most other juice companies that use just “natural” ingredients, Vim + Vigor buys their produce from local farms. Their use of locally produced ingredients guarantees freshness, supports local economy and enhances the nutritional soundness of their product.
Aside from using raw, organic, unaltered and unprocessed ingredients, the company produces their juice by using a hydraulic press. This cold-press juicing method presses the pulp of fruits and vegetables to extract the juice. As a result, a much cleaner, crisper and better tasting product is produced.
With a range of 15 different juices, each ingredient used in every flavor promises health benefits, all of which are listed on the company’s website.
Sold in Highland Park’s Number One Café or available to order online, you can check out Vim + Vigor at Number One, 1 Highland Park Village or online at facebook.com/NumberOneHP and vimvigorjuice.com

This happy, healthy and positively glowing atmosphere will keep you wanting more. The place itself brings a smile to your face and the products could not leave your body any happier as well. The Gem was started by Leslie Needleman and Mary Katherine Bass, two long-time friends. After Leslie was diagnosed with breast cancer, Mary Katherine and she vowed to learn and experiment with health. Soon their healthy ambitions led to the creation of the Gem.
“We want people to experience the great taste and good feeling our GEM offerings bring,” says Bass. “Then we tell them it is organic and vegan and it usually involves kale!”
The menu provides customers with a delicious variety of juices and smoothies, as well as many other amenities. One should not only pop in the store for a juice but also delicious a lunch. Also, if you are looking for a detox the Gem can provide it with three different cleanse options.
The Juice Bar
All organic, and hand prepared just for the costumer’s liking; that sounds pretty nice to me! At the Juice Bar expect nothing less than quality juices and smoothies. The establishment was started by Dallas Locals, Tom Hennings and Heidi Lane.
Hennings and his wife started the Bar Method, a ballet inspired class, that is connected with The Juice Bar. This provides customers with the chance of a brilliant workout and also a refreshing juice or smoothie to follow.
