Brazil: Go Mavs! Defense! Vai Mavericks! Defesa!

When Ms. Nipp told us we were going to a NBA basketball game we were very excited and we really wanted to do that. On October 15th, we went to the American Airlines Center where the Dallas Mavericks played against the Detroit Pistons. The weather was a little cold, but we were too excited to be cold.
Quando Cecília nos disse que iríamos a um jogo de basquete da NBA, ficamos muito animados e, de verdade, queríamos fazer essa nova descoberta.No dia 15 de outubro, fomos ao American Airlines Center onde os Mavericks de Dallas jogaram contra os Pistons de Detroit. O tempo estava frio, mas estávamos muito animados para sentir frio.
The stadium is awesome, we were fascinated, mainly when the Mavs got on court and everybody started screaming “Go Mavs”.
O estádio é maravilhoso, ficamos fascinados, principalmente quando os Mavericks entraram na quadra e toda a torcida começou a gritar “Vai Mavs.”
When the game started, the Pistons made their first attack and suddenly words like “D-FENSE” appeared on the jumbotron. It was exciting. Then, the next quarters were very interactive and we were so concentratred that we could barely blink. We cheered a lot because the Maveriks were losing the game but not for too long because they had good players like Nowitzki and Terry on the court. And we can bet we brought them good luck, too.
Quando o jogo começou, os Pistons fizeram o 1° ataque e, de repente, a palavra “D e f e s a” apareceu no telão. Foi emocionante, pois os quartos seguintes foram tão interativos que, por estarmos verdadeiramente concentrados, mal tínhamos tempo para piscar. Torcemos muito porque os Mavericks estavam perdendo; mas não por muito tempo, pois eles tinham bons jogadores em quadra como Nowitzki e Terri. E, podemos apostar que a nossa presença deu sorte a eles.
When the second quarter started the Mavs were much better getting more than 15 points ahead of the Pistons. Well, when the game was over we were very happy because the Mavs bit the Pistons (113-88).
Quando o segundo quarto começou, os Mavericks estavam muito melhores com 5 (cinco) pontos à frente dos Pistons. Ao final, ficamos muito alegres, pois os Mavericks derrotaram os Pistons com um placar de 113-88.
