The Ursuline basketball team began its season at the beginning of November when they played scrimmages against Naaman Forest High School and Highland Park High School to warm up for their district season.
Their district season officially started Dec. 15 when Bishop Dunne traveled to Ursuline for a tough battle. UA came out victorious, winning in a land slide. This Saturday, Dec. 19 the team will play long time rival Bishop Lynch at 4 p.m. in the Ursuline gym.
“The game against BL is the game that I look forward to the most,” said Megan T. ’10.
The basketball team, however, will be short handed for the first couple of games because of many injuries. Aubrey E. ’11 and Nya M.’12 tore their ACLs; Laura F. ’12 re-tore her ACL; Kirstin B. ’10 broke her hand and Mia T. pulled her hamstrings.
Even though there are many injuries, Megan T. ’10, still has faith in her team. “We’ve been working extremely hard in pre-season, and now we are ready for district,” she said.
