Over the last 15 years, Ursuline journalism students have been a part of and participated in contests in which they have won individual and staff awards including:
Columbia Scholastic Press Association (Pacemaker Awards)
Quill & Scroll National Journalism Honor Society
Journalism Education Association
Most recently, The Bear Facts 2023-24 received First Place for Senior High Schools from the American Scholastic Press Association. The paper had previously won a first place from this organization for its 2022-2023 publication.
Of particular importance was the Bear Facts 2021-2022 award for Most Outstanding High School Newspaper out of all other national high school entries.
