Recently, the Brazilian delegation, visiting for two weeks from our sister school in Ribeirao Preto, Brazil, gave an informative presentation on their daily lives and the areas of Brazil where they live.

In the beginning, the seven Brazilian students, ages 15-17, shared some interesting facts about themselves. For example, Amanda and Vinícius have a pet chinchilla, Julia swims, and Mariana is a big Broadway fan.

Afterwards, they presented an expertly-made video on their home, Ribeirao Preto, and their routine at Colégio Santa Ursula. They mentioned all of their favorite sites in the city, including the University of São Paulo, which they said is the best university in South America.

Unlike Ursuline, they start school at 7:20 a.m. and end at 5:30 p.m. Seniors take the Vestibular Exam, which determines if and where they go to college.

Like Ursuline, Colégio Santa Ursula values the motto Serviam. Every year they participate in a week of philanthropy. This year, they spread environmental awareness and participated in a walk to promote life.

Colégio Santa Ursula also values its athletics program. Their sports include judo, indoor and outdoor soccer, volleyball, handball, and swimming. Similar to Intramurals volleyball games, the students from different classes compete in a soccer match.

The presentation ended with a lively dance presentation which had every member of the audience clapping and tapping her foot.

We have loved having our Brazilian friends with us, and we hope they enjoy the rest of their stay.
