There are a lot of big things to look forward to this coming year. There will be a mix of big music concerts, a ton of new albums, great new movies and TV shows, and exciting sporting events. All of these will definitely need to be checked out. Not only will TV, music, and movies be making a splash, there will be exciting scientific advancements.

In the music business, more than eight high profile artists, including Katy Perry, Brad Paisley, Drake, Lorde, Shania Twain, The Chainsmokers and Iggy Azalea will be releasing their new albums. Even Sean Combs, A.K.A P Diddy or Puff Daddy, will be realizing his last album before he retires, to be entitled No Way Out 2. Even Eminem is reportedly teaming with Adele in his new album.

Moving onto the movie business, this will really be the year for sequels and reboots. A ton of franchises are furthering many of their characters plots with sequels. Some sequels to look out for are “Spiderman Homecoming,” “The X-Men Logan,” “Alien Covenant,” “Thor Ragnarok,” “Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Men Tell No Tales” and “Kingsman: The Golden Circle,” and of course “Star Wars Episode VIII” will take its audience to a galaxy far, far away for another exciting adventure. Thankfully for all the fans out there, Carrie Fisher was able to finish shooting her scenes for this movie so when it comes out this coming Christmas all the fans will be able to say goodbye to Princess Leia. Some of the reboots for this coming year include, “Beauty and the Beast,” which is starring Emma Watson as the beautiful princess Bell, “The Mummy” and “Blade Runner 2049.” “Hamilton” the musical is going National, so there is no longer a need to travel to New York and Chicago to go watch the award winning musical.

This will be a great year for TV with many of the nation’s favorite shows coming back for another season along with new shows getting their starts. Season 7 of “Game of Thrones” will be broadcasting to TV’s everywhere, and after a long five year hiatus, season 9 of “Curb your Enthusiasm” will be making its audience laugh with Larry David’s classic comedic writing and his hilarious cast. “Stranger Things” will be streaming a second season on Netflix, and instead of its previous “Celebrity Apprentice” host, President Donald Trump, the show will now be hosted by Arnold Schwarzenegger. Disney is making a “DuckTales” reboot and Showtime has decided to make a season 3 of “Twin Peaks.”

Science is always improving and 2017 is no exception. Drones are going to be a HUGE this year. Amazon is planning to expand its use of drones to deliver packages. Google and Amazon are even planning to get into the food delivery business. They are going to deliver food to people homes by aerial drones. This year may be home to the first every head transplant. Yep, Italian neurosurgeon Sergio Canavero has a volunteer who is suffering from a disease similar to ALS, so the volunteer is in need of a new healthy body. The surgery will contain over 150 surgeons and take longer than 36 hours. Essentially, the surgeons will remove the head from the volunteer by freezing his body, then graft it onto the body of another person. The details are still coming together, but if successful it will be the first ever head transplant in human history. Virtual reality is going to be another big thing coming this year. The Samsung Gear VR was the most popular headset in 2016, but Google is planning to build their own virtual reality headset called the Daydream View. Microsoft is not going to be passed up either, instead releasing its own virtual reality headset that will work with Windows 10.

There are so many exciting new innovations for 2017. Along with new sciences, there is a ton of movies and TV shows to look out for as well. 2017 should be one for the books.
